Hannelore R. Leavy
Hannelore Leavy has lived the spa life all her life. As a native of Vienna, Austria where spas are a way of life, in her capacity as Marketing Director of the Austrian National Tourist Office in New York City, she started to promote health vacations to European spas. Her 20+ years of experience in the promotion of travel and tourism made her a natural candidate to become "Jeffrey Joseph's Spa Finders " Vice President of Sales and Marketing and the Associate Publisher of THE SPA FINDER. She was the innovator of many of his projects, including the organization of the first Spa Symposium in 1990 from which I/SPA (International Spa Association) emerged.
Since the mid 1980’s Hannelore has been a strong voice for the U.S. spa industry. She is considered a major source for information on spas in general and the day spa industry in particular, which she started to identify as early as 1991, publishing the first DAY SPA DIRECTORY in 1994.
Ms. Leavy went on to be the founder and executive director of THE DAY & MEDICAL SPA ASSOCIATIONS, professional trade associations dedicated to the education of the consumer as to the benefits and availability of spa treatments; for professionals to preserve and elevate the standard of spa services. In her capacity she conducted numerous professional research / marketing studies and published various white papers on the industry, including "The Evolution & Future of the Day Spa & Medical Spa Industries".
Hannelore has appeared on CNN Financial News and MSNBC, she has been quoted hundreds of times in all major newspapers and magazines (such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Spa Life, Newsweek, Skin Inc., Day Spa Magazine, etc.) in the US and international. She conducted workshops at most trade shows in the US and abroad throughout the past 20 years as well as key notes at the Day Spa Expo in Las Vegas, at conferences in Germany, Italy, Brazil, Argentina and China; she served on the Advisory Board of various industry publications, such as Day Spa Magazine and Spa Management Journal.

Maria Camille offers over 20 years experience within the beauty industry. Camille’s areas of focus have been within business development, TV and media production, beauty product/cosmeceudical product development, destination spa resort and medical spa consulting and large event productions.
Camille started within the beauty industry when she founded the magazine Dateline Beauty in the mid 90’s. Taking the beauty industry to a new level in marketing, Dateline Beauty was the first “beauty industry” magazine of it’s kind. The magazine was produced to disseminate information to the public about cosmetic surgery, cosmeceuticals, dermatology, spa treatments and more. During this time, Camille became instrumental in helping to establish standards of public education on cosmetic surgery and the meaning of medical board certifications. In 2000, Camille took the concept of the Dateline Beauty Magazine and brought it into an interactive, news-magazine formatted television show called The Beauty Show.
Camille’s production company, called "A BIG Production Company” was the first company within the beauty niche market to produce an interactive TV series produced from the "ground up," strictly for the spa, resort, beauty, health, fashion and fitness markets.
Within the beauty industry, Camille’s experience has spanned and linked product companies, physicians, medical spas, associations and wellness destinations worldwide. Camille has performed strategic planning and directed both operations and marketing.
Camille has conducted engagements that require knowledge of consumer health and lifestyle trends, beauty product manufacturing, market analysis and operations. Consulting for spa start-ups has included site selection, design, equipment procurement, vendor selection and recruitment and training. She has provided TV and media services to resort spa destinations world-wide, beauty product companies and lifestyle businesses. In 2003 Camille was invited to take The Beauty Show to China for media presentations to numerous TV stations including CCTV. The reception was extremely positive with distribution being secured on China Airlines for programming.
Since 2003 The Beauty Show has aired on airlines worldwide along with ION an NBC affiliate, Turner Broadcasting and Comcast.
Currently, Camille has launched the first East West on-line beauty magazine for China, called: www.enjoybeauty.hk . The Enjoy Beauty site will bring beauty news from around the world to share with women in China. The site will facilitate shopping, destination spa travel packages, cosmetic surgery travel packages and daily beauty tips, products, fashion, wellness and lifestyle.

Sharla has been involved in the health and wellness industry from an early age. Originally from the UK, Sharla has travelled extensively in her quest of self‐discovery and the knowledge of healing and wellness, establishing several successful wellness centres throughout India, Thailand and most recently Verita in Singapore.
Sharla is the founder of truly wellness. After eighteen years in the spa and wellness industry within Europe, Africa and Asia, Sharla recognized the need for a spa company that has the rare combination of having the skill sets to approach the spa business with holistic values whilst balancing it with the reality and acute sense of business acumen to deliver and operate profitable spas
Sharla has succeeded in delivering world class standards in spa excellence, global treatment creation for Molton Brown,UK , spa management training and is an experienced spa consultant.
Sharla is actively involved in this field as a qualified therapist in an array of modalities, and specialises in holistic aromatherapy and flower remedies. Sharla is a yoga practitioner and reiki master who regularly shares her knowledge with her team so they too may embrace and radiate wellness – the essence of true wellness.
Being balanced, highly motivated, hard working and possessing a positive mental attitude, has enabled her to achieve both high professional and personal goals.
Prior to founding truly wellness Sharla spent eight years with Steiner Leisure on luxury cruise liners, becoming one of their top Spa Directors for the group.
Much of Sharla’s time now involves aromatherapy workshops and consultancy which includes spa/wellness concepts creation, design overviews, procurement, innovative global treatment creation and training, pre‐openings including the operations and training side of the business and in particular the challenge of motivating staff to generate exceptional sales with outstanding customer satisfaction and the management within five star properties.
Sharla furthered her experience in 2001 spending 12 months in India at Ananda Ashram, Pondicherry, where she rigorously studied Rishiculture Ashtanga Yoga and Hinduism. Sharla continued her journey, studying at Findhorn in Scotland to gain the understanding of community lifestyle, Ecodesign and sustainability in 2006.
Most recently Sharla became a HypnoBirthing Practitioner, Childbirth practitioner, and specializes in pre/post natal yoga, combing the principles of aromatherapy, yoga, reiki energy, pranayama and hynosis, sharla promotes the holistic approach to birthing. Sharla is actively involves in the parenting world, and is the mummy to a 16mth old boy, who is equally active.
Adrina has more than 14 years of experience in various aspects of the spa industry, particularly in Singapore and China. She has previously held management positions with St. Gregory Spas, Raffles Hotel Singapore as well as Starwood Hotels and Resorts China. During her career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts China, she lead The Heavenly Spa at Westin Beijing Financial Street to win numerous international accolades - "Favorite Hotel Spa - Asia" by SPA Magazine’s Sliver Sage Readers Choice Awards 2008, 2009, 2010 and “Best Hotel Spa - Asia” in 2011 and “Best Hotel Spa - China” Asia Spa & Wellness Festival 2009 Gold Awards. At Starwood China, she also served as the Area Spa Director, overseeing new spa developments and spa operations for Northern and Eastern China.
Currently the Vice President of China National Spa Association (CNSA), her extensive industry experience and qualifications has allow her to support the association and was instrumental in establishing the national spa standards and regulations for the spa industry in China.
